Differences in CBD Oils and their Methods of Consumption

CBD oils come in various varieties and have a vast offering when it comes to their methods of consumption. Not every oil works well for everyone and one should always choose what may seem best for them depending on the ingredients contained in the oil along with the way to consume it that’s best suited for them, individually.

Different CBD Oils Have Different Contents

Full SpectrumIf you’re looking for a CBD oil that has no traces of THC in it whatsoever, a full spectrum one may not be what you’re looking for. Even though this kind of CBD oil has just about 0.3% of THC in it, it can still be detected. The full-spectrum CBD oil has traces of almost everything that the hemp plant has to offer that it has been derived from. That may include terpenes, lipids, CBC, CBN, and CBG as well. You should however know that these molecules are not necessarily bad. Terpenes for example can help relieve pains and aches along with reducing anxiety levels. When this combination is consumed, it is referred to as the entourage effect which is said to help a number of people who choose to go for the full-spectrum CBD oil, more than what an isolate may.

Broad Spectrum: Broad Spectrum CBD oils are said to be more popular as compared to the other two that are poles apart from each other. While containing almost everything the hemp plant has to offer except for THC, it makes for a more neutral concoction. The entourage effect minus the THC is really said to have quite a few benefits, which is what makes it among the more preferred kinds and is good for those who don’t want to start off with either of the two extremes.

Isolates: CBD isolates contain only CBD. The best option for those who are looking at consuming only CBD, it still eliminates the benefits provided by the other chemicals. However, they are said to be better in taste as compared to the other two and are also more cost-effective.

CBD Oils Can be Consumed in Various Ways

The next aspect to take into consideration is the method of consumption.
Capsules: Even though they may take a while to get absorbed, their effect is more long-lasting. If you don’t think of it as an emergency and waiting for 45 minutes seems okay, then the effect of a capsule can last for 10-12 hours which is almost half the day!

Tinctures/ Oils: When you need an immediate solution to a problem that can be addressed with the help of a CBD oil, then this is a great way of consuming CBD. All you have to do is pop a couple of drops under your tongue and give it about 1.5 minutes to get absorbed and voila! Your oil will start showing its power almost immediately. However, its effect may not last for more than about 4-6 hours.

Topical/ Direct Application: The oils that are meant to be massaged onto a part of your skin that needs relief are topical. All you have to do is squeeze out a couple of drops and gently massage them on the patch that needs the attention of the oil. They get absorbed only in the area that they are applied to.

Vaporizing: This indeed is the fastest way of consuming your CBD oil but also loses effect as quickly. People who do not need or want long-lasting and long term benefits choose this method. The ones who do need their CBD oil to be effective of longer periods of time, may either choose to combine this method with another suitable one or may just opt for another one instead of this method.
