CBD Oil- Is it Intoxicating?

Is CBD Oil Intoxicating

You may have heard of CBD being beneficial to different people for different reasons and may have also heard of rumours stating that is close to THC since it is derived from the same plant as marijuana is.

It is well known that marijuana is an intoxicating substance which when consumed gives a person a feeling of a “high” which is why even though it is legally consumed in some countries, most do not allow the use or consumption of the same.

Unfortunately, there is one advantageous characteristic of marijuana which most people cannot get the benefit of, and that is the fact that it helps reduce stress and anxiety. It also however takes you into a different zone which is why it is illegal in most places.

Can we however get that benefit without getting intoxicated? The answer is, YES!

If we choose to consume CBD (which is permissible to use in more countries than marijuana is), we can attain the benefits of reduced anxiety and more through it, without having to go through any kind of intoxication.

You see, CBD is derived from the same plant as THC is and contains similar qualities except for the intoxicating part. CBD and THC are two kinds of cannabinoids found in the hemp plant among many others. When you consume marijuana, you take in more of the cannabinoids some of which are good for anxiety and stress control.

However, if intoxicating yourself isn’t the best idea and all you want to obtain out of consuming hemp is reduced levels of anxiety, then consuming CBD oil can be very beneficial.

You can get CBD oil on various websites and they come in 3 major forms:

  • Full-Spectrum CBD: This contains every cannabinoid present in the hemp plant including THC but at very low levels. The law states that full-spectrum CBD oil should not have more than 0.3% of THC in it which doesn’t allow your body to get intoxicated or feel a “high”.
  • Broad-spectrum CBD: Through this kind of CBD you shall obtain the benefits of every cannabinoid present in the hemp plant except for THC. The broad-spectrum CBD oil doesn’t contain any traces of THC at all, but has every other cannabinoid present in it.
  • Isolate CBD oil: Isolate CBD oil has only and only CBD present in it. So, if all you want to reap are the benefits of CBD, this is the right choice for you.
