If you deal with stress, anxiety or both, you may have come across people who advise you to start meditating as well as practicing yoga.
When you meditate, you basically concentrate on your breathing while being aware of your surroundings. This helps you calm your nerves and also lowers stress and anxiety thus lowering your blood pressure as well. This helps in overall relaxation and gives your mind a break from all the tension and stress it may go through otherwise. It is however important to maintain a certain posture in order to help your lungs expand and contract as much as possible in order to experience the maximum amount of benefits. Your spinal cord should be as straight as it can be and you should be aware of your breathing, and not in a state where you’re almost unconscious because that will just mean that you’re half asleep, which isn’t the idea of meditating.
A lot of yoga poses help give relief to stress and anxiety, and here are a few which you can practice:
- Easy pose: This is the typical meditation pose wherein you sit straight and cross your legs while putting your right palm on your right knee and the left palm on the left knee. Once you’ve gotten into position, you can start taking deep breaths in order to calm yourself down and relax.
- Cat- Cow pose: This is more of a movement than a pose wherein you put your palms and knees on the ground, and keep on arching and straightening your back while breathing in and out slowly.
- Standing forward bend: This is what it sounds like. You should stand as straight as you can and then bend your back to touch your feet with your hands (or as far as you can go). This helps straighten your spinal cord and also relieves you of stress and anxiety.
CBD for Stress Relief
CBD is used for stress relief as it incurs such characteristics. It is well known that the product is used for a lot of diseases which can include physical as well as mental diseases. CBD is derived from the hemp plant which contains quite a few cannabinoids including THC. However, CBD does not give a high to one who consumes it.
If one faces a lot of tension, has a stressful job or just has a lot of anxiety and insomnia, practicing yoga can be beneficial. However, including CBD in their diet is also a good option since yoga alone cannot necessarily solve all such problems.
CBD comes in 3 forms including full spectrum CBD which contains all the cannabinoids of the hemp plant, broad spectrum CBD which contains all the cannabinoids except for THC and isolate CBD which contains only and only CBD.
A lot of the other cannabinoids also help with stress relief and other mental illnesses so one must do a thorough check as to which kind of CBD to opt for. It is known that THC also helps with anxiety so ideally, one should go for a full-spectrum CBD oil which includes enough THC to help with stress relief but doesn’t give a high like solely THC does.
However, we suggest that you do your homework about the same, regarding what your concern is.
